The library maintains a small collection of local history materials. The library's collection includes the Amery Echo (Jun. 14, 1889-Jul. 30, 1891) and the Amery Free Press (Oct. 1906-Sep. 1935; Sep. 1937-Apr. 2005) on microfilm. (The Amery Free Press, March 15, 2005-present, with a 90 day embargo period, is available online through the Archive of Wisconsin Newspapers.) A microfilm reader/printer is available for use. The library also maintains a collection of Amery High School yearbooks. Further historical information about Polk County may be obtained from the Area Research Center and University Archives at the University of Wisconsin River Falls and the Polk County Historical Society.
